The Backbeats are a seven-piece band with over 300 years of combined live performance experience between them, playing the songs that you have lived with for the last 40 years and more.
The Backbeats have played countless functions and venues including the Auckland Town Hall to packed houses two nights running to rave reviews, the recording of which was broadcast by Radio New Zealand.
That 70’s Show is a highly entertaining production covering all the big hits and anthems, and classic, memorable songs from the 1970s.

They start with a 60s segment, The Woodstock Generation show, which comprises of the first set being songs from and around the era of Woodstock – The Beatles, Santana, The Who, Mamas and Papas, Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, The Small Faces, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner and Janis Joplin.
